Design and features

The Nostalgia MCMO9FTSG is a feature-packed product. Its build is a mix of metal and plastic with the former being the main component. Unfortunately, there is only one color- the Seafoam Green that users can buy, but it looks stunning in our opinion and will easily match with the rest of the décor.

Designs & Features

The product comes with retro accents that include a classic-style control panel, chrome door handle, and fashionable splayed legs. Also present is a digital clock with easy-to-read LED display that lights up to showcase all the cooking settings.

A simple program dial complements the rest of the theme and lets users navigate several presets on board. It has big, tactile buttons to amplify the retro feeling and is easy to set up too. It comes with a cord wrap facility allowing users to wrap the wire after use securely.

Performance

As for features, the Nostalgia MCMO9FTSG is a 900-Watts machine and with 0.9 cubic feet oven capacity for quickly heating food. It comes with pre-programmed cooking settings, along with a delay timer for maximum efficiency and reheating food. There is an option for multi-sequence cooking too where users can set up to four programs simultaneously.

The retro microwave has a 10.63-inch glass top built-in for evenly cooking food. It also has an option for express cooking with a one-touch button for initiating a 30-second cooking cycle. Also present is a feature for defrosting frozen food to enjoy them without losing out on taste.

Coming to real-life usage, we barely have any complaints with our unit. It cooks the food evenly, and the timer works perfectly. The feedback of the buttons made us nostalgic, and it worked as well as the more-modern touch-based panels. So overall, even though most of the people will buy it for the feel, it is not far too behind the competition, when it comes to tech prowess that it possesses.

Is Nostalgia MCMO9FTSG worth buying?

Even though we barely have any gripe with our Nostalgia MCMO9FTSG unit, there have been multiple instances of people receiving faulty products. The one part we would like to point out is the cosmetics. It is not built as well, and there was some interior chipping that we came across after using it for the first time.

The Nostalgia MCMO9FTSG would work as you expect it to most of the time, but there can be instances when it will go haywire. The lights won’t turn on, the timer will move but the fans won’t, and the food won’t heat up. In such cases, you will have to unplug it, wait a while and try your luck again.

If you can get over its issues, the retro microwave is an excellent addition to your kitchen. It is small and looks cute with a simple interface, and the performance is on par with the price it seeks.
