The Elite Gourmet Americana is a 3-in-1 retro-themed microwave that offers a lot of functionality while maintaining a compact overall body. It is unlike any other similar product out there, and can broil, bake, toast, and bake. It comes with three different detachable interior equipment. One is an oven pan, a grill rack, and a crumb tray.

Design and features

The Elite Gourmet Americana retro microwave is a mix of retro looks with modern functionalities. The device is compact with the dimensions stretching 17 x 11.7 x 13.3-inches for the 6-slice variant. The 4-slice is further smaller with a 9.75 x 9.5 x 7.75-inches body. There are two color variants available – black and mint blue. The former looks much better in our opinion.dimensions

Even though most retro microwaves follow a minimalistic look, this one is taking a different path. The front of the device has a handle on the left side for the oven door and the Americana branding on its lower side.

On its right side, you will find a pill-shaped Power indicator. Below that, there is a temperature control knob for managing the heat. There is a timer with 0-60 minutes adjustment, making it perfect for toasting and warming food. The Elite Gourmet Americana Retro Vintage Diner 50’s is a well-built device with copper accents to make it a stylish product.

Performance

The Elite Gourmet Americana is a 1300-Watt retro microwave. It has four main oven functionalities, and it is easy to use for most people. The temperature control can adjust the heat between 200-degree Fahrenheit to 400-degree Fahrenheit.functionalities

The packages come with a lot of accessories, all of which serve different purposes. There is a specially designed glass tubing heating rods with a built-in thermostat that helps to manage temperatures evenly.

The retro microwave is capable of baking frozen bread, broil fish, toast your favourite garlic bread, or heating any food. In our testing period, the 1300-W power gives it decent horsepower to manage most tasks comprehensively. One major gripe that we have with most retro microwaves is their inability to handle complex tasks. It is not the same here, and we were pleasantly surprised.

But one weird thing we noticed is that its external body becomes warm. The top especially started radiating unbearable heat. It cooled down to average temperatures after 10 minutes of inactivity. The performance is top-notch in other aspects.

Wrap up

The Elite Gourmet Americana retro microwave is a well-thought-out package. It performs a lot of tasks amicably well. Irrespective of which variant you choose, the wattage remains the same, and that’s a plus point. It doesn’t have the usual retro microwave abilities like dedicated defrosting, child lock, and a LED timer, but it gets the job done.

If you can get past the QC issues and getting intolerably hot, the Elite Gourmet Americana Diner 50’s is a good buy for accentuating your kitchen or dining space.
